Suggest you contact Deputy Chief Gary English at Seattle Fire Department who is recognized expert on road tunnel rescue planning. gary.english@seattle.gov
Looking for reference to any standard(s) in North America/South America that spell out breathing apparatus (respiratory protection) requirements for tunnel rescue. Note that I am looking for operational tunnels, POST constrcution. Specifically, is there any OSHA or other standard that dictates that rescue personnel for a tunnel must have a specific duration of breathing apparatus.
